When I saw this one on Vcoins I did not hesitate. As Ephesian denarii of Vespasian go this one is not a rare one. However, when I saw that the seller wanted 30.00 including shipping I grabbed it. Now it is true that the reverse has a problem-a gouge at the top. However, I love this reverse type. I consider it to be one of the elegant Ephesian reverses for Vespasian. But of course the reason I bought it was the portrait. These portraits are imho some of the best portraits issued under Vespasian.

Looks like someone was cutting it for change, then got something else, making the purchase a full denarius! LOL, is your birthday in AVGvst? :)

Fine coin! I would have gotten that one if I saw.
