IMG_5264.jpeg IMG_5265.jpeg Went back to my lcs yesterday. Picked up a Connecticut copper. First coin from a colony for me. Couldn’t pass it up for $45. Any idea what variety it is? I hope everyone is having an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Actually there are well over 200 varieties for 1787! This one is 33.19-Z.2 which is a rarity 5 variety. Rarity 5 translates to 46-60 known presently.

I wouldn't have passed it up either. Any time you can get a colonial copper that cheap, just do it. Can't help on the variety. Good luck.

No problem, I collect these by die variety so I have all the references.
