Was able to buy another decent batch of indian head pennies today. Lots of full LIBERTY's and several 4 diamond pieces even though they're all common dates. ~3 of them are cleaned unfortunately (1890, 1892, 1906) but for the detail and the price I still couldn't pass them up. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any RPD's or MPD's but still, overall very pleased with the purchase ($25 for the lot - I have to think they're 'worth' twice that). Thanks for looking. Do you have Snow's book?
Some of those date errors are sneaky and hard to find on the coin.

I don't have Snow's book. I do have the Cherry Picker's Guide but that's it.

Why would you place the coin on your finger like that?

you’ve likely just put a nice fingerprint on it. You certainly got your oils on it.

Well I used my fingers to pick them out of a bucket full of Indians. Should I use tongs next time?

At $1.25 per coin, this is a very good deal. In fact, you clearly have coins “worth” twice what you paid as you stated. Congrats!

    No, no metal.

just hold them by the edges. If you are taking a picture, place it on a flat surface and then take the pic.

    Nice Indians. Love old copper.

Thanks. I think the coins range from VF to low AU, minus the 3 cleaned coins. Does that sound about right to everyone?
