"E over A"!? I looked at the image as closely as I could. Am I right that it's the "E" in "STATES"? Bust halves are not a familiar area for me. I've got four for my type set: -- 1806 Draped Bust/Heraldic Eagle, Knob 6, Large Stars, PCGS XF-40 CAC which someone in here nicely ID'ed as a O-105 for me -- 1807 Capped Bust/Lettered Edge/First Style, Large Stars, 50 over 20, PCGS VF-30, no "O" number -- 1837 Capped Bust/Reeded Edge/Reverse 50 CENTS, NGC AU-58, no "O" number -- 1838 Capped Bust/Reeded Edge/Reverse HALF DOL., PCGS AU-55, no "O" number Hmmm, noticed that the 3 Capped Bust coins don't have an Overton Number. If someone is willing to take the time to ID them I'd appreciate it. I'll post them if someone says okay.
That's what PCGS calls it on CoinFacts. I'm not really collecting by Overton numbers. I'm trying to stay with AU with nice color. This one was just too pretty to pass up. Feel free to post your coins. I don't have the reference to help but I bet Treashunt will. He really knows these.
Kanga, your 1807 will probably be O-112. There is a slight chance that it is 111 (known as the "Bearded Goddess due to a die break on the obverse), but as a strong R-5 die marriage I doubt it. The two reeded edge coins will not have Overton numbers since he didn't deal with them in his book. They have Graham numbers instead. If you post pics someone can probably help you with them.
