Another misattributed Minerva

    It is nice to see the MINER VICT .. coins that Doug illustrates.

    I have that reverse die.

    I don't have a Minerva with owl type like Doug's. I have a few more standard types

    A holding Victory type

    and a seated type

    [​IMG]

    I missed out on a reverse die match to this seated die recently, which was combined with a left facing COS II obverse. It was quite rough but it was "removed" just before the end of auction with my bid still winning. It was horribly rough and worn but....

    Just received the coin. Here is my new photo. The coin actually looks more like my photo. I am very pleased by the looks of this one. This rarity has a new home in my Abafil case.
