YUP! Man, I LOVE it! Sicily Gela AR Litra Horse-Achelous 0-63g 13mm 465-450 BCE Obv-Rev HGC 2 p 373.JPG Hey @Nicholas Molinari , you need to get that AR Potamikon book out! I need to get a Molinari reference number on this one! I am jones-in' for the number!
There's been a few awesome silver coins JA had over the last year that I let go because they were in areas that I didn't collect, and in the last two or three months when I decided to become more of a generalist collector I've come to regret passing on them. Im referring to medieval European and some Indian/Asian silver coins. Too bad I can't rewind the clock and place a bid on them.
LOL, you would have lost... (Just kidding). It was too cool for me. Not REALLY in my focus, but Mr. @John Anthony seems to entice my need for off-focus coins, then they become a cool collecting area as I gather more coins!
Terrific Denarius of Titus @Bing !! Super cool posts guys!! Hmmm, I seem to have four or five coins from that JAZ guy too I'll post my last purchase---a cool Tet of Geta from Antioch (BTW: That guy has auctions ending every Thursday):
That's a great idea, actually. Then some lucky metal detector can find them all over again a thousand years from now.
Buried with your coins? Please! I'll have my brain transplanted into a robot body so that I may enjoy my coins for many more years
nice lookin' denarius bing! an imperial titus and a "chair" coin are both on my list...but i haven't scored one yet. this coin i've posted several time recently is as close as i canget... Philadelphia. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Time of Titus, 79-81 CE O: Demeter, countermark (male head?), R: grain, 19 mm, 7.0 g i don't have any jaz coins either... but here's a 6 hour long mix of smooth jazz...
Don't have any ex JAZ coins yet. My coin budget is tight now but definitely will get some in the future.
