This is another coin purchased from our fellow CT member a couple of months ago. I just haven't taken the time to present it here in open forum until now. I now have it in my 12 Caesar's presentation case.
    Titus 6.jpg
    TITUS
    AR Denarius
OBVERSE: IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M Laureate head of Titus to right
REVERSE: TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P Wreath on curule chair
    Struck at Rome, January-June 80AD
    3.41g, 19mm
    RIC 108
    Ex JAZ Numismatics

Please post any coin you think even remotely connected. Happy coining all!

Boy, if I posted all my Ex JAZ Numismatics coins, the list would be extensive (at least 15 coins, maybe more).

A shame I didn't notice that Titus. I'd have loved to give you a run for the money. I definitely would have bid on it. Oh well, awesome score @Bing

I guess this coin is remotely connected...my Ex. JAZ Numismatics denarius of Titus' father, Vespasian.

A nice coin, instead of my titus I will show a chair.

    PUBLIUS FURIUS CRASSIPES (84 B.C.)
    AR Denarius
O: AED CVR, turretted head of Cybele right. Long oval gouge and tool mark across Cybele's head (al marco weight adjustments).
R: Curule chair inscribed P FOVRIUS, CRASSIPES in exergue.
    Rome Mint
    3.9g

Publius Furius strikes here not as moneyer, but as a special issue in his role as Curule Aedile, hence the curule chair bearing his name.

Hmmmm... We are on JA52 auction and will probly be JA53 this week. I have only missed one or two, and even have bought multiples in some of the auctions... So, I might conservatively have 50-60 of his. Generally, they are not my collecting focus, so they are really fun adjuncts to my collection!

So... This is my FIRST item I captured from John... and I actually carried in my pocked for a while:

    Ex: @John Anthony
RI Aurelius Marcus 161-180 AE Sestertius S-C Obv-Rev.jpg
RI Aurelius Marcus 161-180 AE Sestertius S-C Obv-Rev.jpg

I am interested in your $25 Marcus Aurelius...

Obverse: AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F, bare head right.
Reverse: TR POT COS II S-C, Minerva standing right with spear & shield.

Roman Imperials are NOT a focus of mine:

At some point this summer I had my one-year anniversary as a dealer. It all started with that lot Bing sent me in the summer of 2015. I count almost 500 coins sold since, total sales over $38,000. Not too shabby for a vest-pocket dealer. A huge thank you to all of you! As long as you're having fun, I'm having fun. :)

I have just one from JA (you're probably wondering what's wrong with me lol). Either I didn't have coin money at the time (most times), or the auction didn't have anything of interest for me. The one I do have is a Antoninus Pius denarius I bought from him a couple of months ago.

I know how you feel. I wish JAZ Numismatics' auctions had 8-9 silver coins and only 2-3 bronze coins per auction, instead of the other way around. Oh well, first world problems.

So many nice silver coins :woot: Did I mention I like silver?

    * Note to future Secret Santa, Indian/Indonesian medieval silver is very cheap and I hardly have any. :D

There have been lots of great JAZ coins but this one will always stick in my memory (because I didn't place a bid). If I'm not mistaken, our good friend Alegandron got it (the lucky puppy).
