Faun Half Goat - Half Human. Faunus (Roman God similar to Pan) was their protector... similar habits, but different background (making it confusing for those who research this...) A Satyr is similar, but has specific parts that were goat and specific parts that were human... Fauns had parts that could be either.
Just a picky point: Why do so many insist on calling these 'Fallen' rather than 'Falling'? Only the most rare types show the guy on the ground with even those being the last stages of the process of falling (struggling to his knees or seated and fending off the death blow). On FH4, one might say the rider is dead (fallen) but he has not fallen from the horse as of yet. This was a pet peeve of the person that introduced me to the type so I will not abandon it. It disturbs me that Helvetica (Wildwinds) went over to the dark side but at least a few dealers are still with me on the matter.
Fallen does seem to be a more powerful word, especially for a battle scene. Fallen: people who died in war: those people killed in war or battle, especially while fighting overthrown, destroyed, or conquered: a fallen city. having dropped or come down from a higher place, from an upright position, or from a higher level, degree, amount, quality, value, number, etc. on the ground; prostrate; down flat: Maybe falling is just to modern for most ancient collectors Origin: before 900; Middle English fallen, Old English feallan; cognate with German fallen, Old Norse falla; But for me, it's muscle memory. As you said, a few dealers use falling; 4 coins came up while searching "falling" and almost 350 for "fallen," on vcoins.
