Another fake?

    Is this another fake or just one horrible excuse for a Morgan? Saw this only eBay tonight. Even looks like Lady Liberty has a pierced ear. Just looks off to me. Notice how the eagle's breast looks 20 times more worn than any of the other devices.

    Actually the eagles breast is usually the first to go for most Morgans this worn.Due to this area being much more prone to extreme weakly struck details overall. Doesn't look counterfeit to me as a common cleaned Morgan,looks average circ.

    I think that it's real, but like someone buffed the devices in high relief parts.

    Looks good to me but it has been harshly cleaned.

    I can see where people would not like it as a genuine coin. The Philadelphia Mint dollars are usually pretty well made, although not as good as the San Francisco Mint pieces from the same period. The New Orleans Mint dollars, especially as you get toward the 1890s are often weak in the center on both sides.
