Another Elagabalus Tet/Different Bust

    Another month old coin. I have a laureate bust of Elagabalus, I didn't have one with the "cuirassed bust". A bit scarcer, but not too much.

    Obv.: AVT K M A ANTWNEINOC, Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right
    Rev.: ΔHMAPX EΞYΠATOC TOB, Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, holding wreath in beak, Δ Є above wings, star between legs.

    I like those draped and cuirassed busts on tets, they give more majestic appearance to the portrait. Very good addition Mat

    I love the style of these large tets issued by Elagabalus. To me, they simply scream "Syrian". Lovely pieces.
