The next Series of Federal Reserve Notes was 1934. No payment clause tied to gold or silver.</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp; The Brown Seal FRNB`s of Series 1929 were the precursor of our modern day Federal Reserve Notes.</p><p>The 1934 and 1950&nbsp; series FRN`s were &quot;payable in lawful money&quot;</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; HMMMMMM</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; What was (is) lawful money???</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Series 1963 and beyond FRN`s are payable in nothing.
