Another ancient "cup" coin

    Just added a second Byzantine scyphate (cup shaped) Trachydrachm to the collection.
    I'm not sure why they minted them in this form but my theory is that they were easier to hold onto and easier to stack...like Pringles®.So since I now have two,I decided to test this last idea out...with great success.:)
    Anyway,I think they're pretty cool!

    I have one ot those, but it's worn so much or struck so softly you can't make out any figures. It's just a smooth little cup-coin :D

    LOL never considerd them to be like pringles before :D have to agree I like them as well
