    So just an update on this one. It did get the Gold Bean from CAC. That's the second gold I've made on '38-D rattlers from PCGS and my 3rd Gold Bean overall. :)

    Has anyone ever tried to send a gold beaned one into PCGS for a reconsideration??
    Seems like a good idea, assuming you knew it would go MS67 or better

    Reconsideration would mean that the coin would be reholdered even if the bump was only 1 point. In the case of something like an MS 65 1938 Buffalo, that would be a big loss compared to having the gold sticker.

    I would think plenty of people have sent gold stickered coins in, but mainly when the 1 point bump has a significant price jump.
