I'm betting that there will be 100,000 or more cancellations of the 2012 "S" proof set within the next week or two...the mint should have disclosed this plan before the 2012 "S" proof set went on sale.

the weird thing is that the mintnewsblog does not state a source for the "s" proof assertion and they even state that the mint DOES NOT say it will be an "s" proof- where the heck is he getting his info!?!?!?!?!?!??!

The small guy that bought one or two sets for himself is not going to cancel and the big dealer that can sell them on Shop At Home with a dozen different labels is not going to cancel so the only ones that might jump ship are the flippers. It would not take that many flippers canceling to lower the final number of these sets by 50k.
