Thank you for starting this thread! Been diving more into Annamnese coinage and ingot bars since 2023 and 2024. Annamnese coins are my goal for this year, along with expanding my Chinese sycee collection. I wanted to share these three pieces from my personal collection. The Annamnese Ingot Bar coinage in the 1 Quan denomination, and formerly also listed in Krause as a 1.5 Tien. Recently, had to call PCGS as their pop report consolidated their 1.5 Tien into the 1 Quan. My AU 58 listed here has to get a re-label! Argh! Sent in to grading all by myself via PCGS! Been diving into Annam coins recently and grateful to handle these pieces raw! Cast and struck during the reign of Emperor Tu Duc of the Nguyen Dynasty. The AU 58 is a PCGS plate coin for the 1 Quan type. Their grades are nice and the toning is deep and even, and that there is luster! Original strikes as well and slight variation in weights and character style. Have couple more ingot bars to be send to PCGS for grading! I will be writing more on these soon, via a research paper, for my blog and Coin-Instagram.
