From the British Museum:</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Nor was I familiar with Ahura-Mazda (though I've seen Acuras and Mazdas <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />). Turns out it is the Zoroastrian God. Zoroastrianism, one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions, began in ancient Iran some 3500 years ago, founded by the prophet Zarathustra.
