yah, those poor coins ... nobody likes seeing them running wild on the streets (good on ya for rounding those lil' buggers-up and keeping them outta trouble!!)
I just went back over and calculated what I spent this past year on those 44 coins I purchased. It wasn't near as bad as I thought. The average for each coin works out to be $28.54 each.
I just calculated my entire collection of 148 coins costing a total of $2,159.35 with a average cost of $14.59 for 3 years of collecting ancient coins.
Well, I know that my average cost per coin is over $100, so I'm merely gonna have a big greasy breakfast and not think about it anymore (*denial is awesome*)
Yum! Squirrel gravy and buck wheat cakes. Now that reminds me of my chikdhood on Christmas morning back home in West Virginia.
Hmmm, I have narrowed-down my 61 coins to => stevex6' Top Six ... => man, it would be a whole lot easier if I was stevex10
Some great coins!! You guys got me looking at the ancients now! There's a few you bought I really like not sure what they are but like the designs
yup => I'm now up to "63" coins in 2014 (those new babies are both welcome additions) ... both are contenders for Top-10 Dec 17 =>
Having failed to acquire any coins from an auction yesterday morning, my total of 36 coins for the year is set (unless something comes along privately in the next two weeks). I'll post one new purchase tomorrow and follow suit with a top 10 "year in review" next Saturday. I'm hoping to hit the ground running in 2015 as well, with the plethora of auctions coming up in the first two weeks of January. It never ends, and that's what's great about it!
