The year's not over yet, get another one!! Fabulous stuff, SteveO. Thanks for keeping us entertained!
It's nice to see them all in one place. I was thinking of doing something similar: all the coins I've bought this year and why, but I'd organize them according to Roman, Greek, and Nabataean.
=> good idea .... I was actually going to write a 1000 word essay on each coin, but after merely displaying them all in that thread, I figured "eh f-that, good enuf!!" .... you must have far more game than I do, my Nabotoneum friend!!
=> well, TIF may be my sweet coin-wife ... but my "real wife" is telling me that this year is soooo "over"
Tremendous gallery and very eclectic sir. Congrats on a fabulous year of coin buys. So far my buys for 2014 are resumed below : Nothing, niente, nada, rien....zilch ! Hence a bit of "green with envy" mood on my part (but I've had, and will have fantastic years too...) Q
I hear ya ..... oh, and so does my sweet wife!! => 2015 looks like it's kitchen-renos and new vehicle year!! ... *whatev* ... every dog has its day (I love dogs)
Hey curious? New Game => which coin is your 2014 stevex6-favourite? (give date and/or description, if there are multiple dates) .... ummm, there's probably no prize for your efforts (just cool, clean fun) Hmmmm, I'm not sure which is my favourite? ... I must admit hat Vandal horse makes me smile (eh, Jango?) .... but in the next little while, I really should get 'er down to my Top-Ten and then go from there ... However => "please" tell me which of the sweet-61 is "your" favourite!! ... just gimme a date (and at coin-desc if needed) ... thanks Thanks, coin-friends
It's hard to pick favorites, but I'm most intrigued by the fractional silvers you got this year. I'd like to collect some more of these tiny denominations myself.
you had a great coin 2014 stevex. man, i don't know. the medieval coin with the knight, the pontos coins, the little guy and bull from june 25....the big kushan. the rhodes silver. "geese in love" greek silver. those sweet alexandrian drachms. little greek electrum. many favorites i guess.
