Ooops, I'm accidentally in mode once again (wife is outta town) ... => with Bon Scott still breathin' => they were the best party band "ever" ... amazingly awesome afterwards as well!! (such a sweet band => Angus' band)
My favorite coin came from RBW. I've got coins that are rarer or more expensive, but this one is just perfect in my eyes. And Doug, love the Motorhead song! I just saw them over in San Francisco a couple months ago. My ears still hurt! And here's SRV doing justice to a Hendrix original
@ stevex6> I am 'uber' impressed by that coin. I have (too) many examples of the Constantine family but none as great as that one. I am blown away by everything about the coin. The 'central' strike, the 'clarity' of the image, the 'unusual' design. Congrats on that one, Steve. Love the song, too.
Thanks, Topcat ... funny, because I thought that you'd mistaken somebody else's coin for mine => yah, I admit that I have a few sweet coins, but I don't often get compliments on my Constantine examples (so again, thanks) ... here it is again, for a victory-lap!!
Oh, and how rude of me => "welcome Carthago" .... I totally agree with TIF that your tune and your coin are both top-notch!!
Thanks Steve (and TIF)! I usually hang over at Forvm but decided to spread my wings on a new board. Thanks for having me.
I will add my voice and say welcome. You may find this forum to be on the much lighter side than FAC. For me, even the silly jokes some of us post (steve) make this a fun place to visit.
I don't know whether to be more embarrassed about my love of ELO or conditionally-challenged coins...
Hmmm, apparently I've made it another Sunday morning, eh? ... => well then, here is another sweet tune from my past ...
Favourite coin and an unrelated favourite "tune" of the moment. Titus AR Denarius Rome mint, 80 AD RIC 112 (C2), BMC 72, RSC 309 Obv: IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M; Head of Titus, laureate, bearded, r. Rev: TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P; Dolphin coiled around anchor
I'm glad you clarified that they were unrelated. I enjoy incongruity but was having some trouble processing this pairing. But now that I have, I don't think I can look at another Titus coin without the Orangina Rap come to mind. Gorgeous coin, by the way!
Well, Perhaps the pairing should be something like I love the denarius as much as that kid loves Orangina.
