This was my fifth and final win from the recent CNG auction ...

=> yup, I scored myself another Roman ruler (*tick*)

This is only my second Siliqua example ... I think this coin has very sweet eye-appeal

    Treveri (Trier) mint
    AD 383-388
    Diameter: 17 mm
    Weight: 1.96 grams
Obverse: Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right

    Other: 12h … sweetly toned, cool flow-lines

Lets point out that this scale was based on the number of coins seen in commerce and not the actual number that exist or the price of coins sold. While Constantine may be at or near the top of all categories, his family members make up many more coins than some of the earlier rulers that beat them on the list. Trajan is bad enough but Augustus at 7 is ridiculous.
I can't help thinking that the others of the Constantinian period really belonged in the top five rather than top 20. Worse, to me, is how the post-Constantinian rulers of the 4th century could climb no higher than 33rd (Valens). Don't plan your budget based on this list. It might be interesting to survey the members of this list and see how many have each ruler versus how many want each one. If you want #82, Constantius Gallus, you probably have one. Who leads the list of people on the want list of CT members?

Yes I would have thought Augustus 7 coins were harder to come by than Caracalla at 10.

The results would differ on the best of surveys according to which sales were checked. I used to comment that it was rare to have a Septimius Severus coin illustrated in a price list but rare to have a Pescennius Niger not shown. In this case, it is rare for a G-VG Constantius II to be listed while worn out Augustus sell easily.
