It depends on the connotation. I think JA meant it like in this statement: It really did smart when I stumped my toe!

=> ahaha, good one, Chief ... ummm, but I think it may be "stubbed my toe" rather than stumped? (but I'm from Canada, so a lot gets lost in translation, eh?)

Wha? ... Troas coins? ... what, you want some coins from Troas?

=> well, okay then ... ummm, but "you" asked for it!!

ahaha ..... ummm (*awkward*) yah, apparently you've got to get up pretty early in the afternoon to pull the ol' wool over your eyes, eh dawg?!!

=> I love ya, brother!! (go nap ... don't pull anything)

    ;)

Well, if you're going to call out spelling errors, I need to ask you about your glutinous month. Were you stuck in a rice paddy?

ahaha => that's awesome, because I actually looked-up how to spell it, but apparently I didn't look at the word-description (JA, you are now my least favourite member ... or is it favorite?)

... is it spelt Dick, or Dyke?

    ;)

Oh how I wanted to take a poke at that post. Patience paid off and JA did it for me and with fine wit. :D

And SteveO, my favorite coinbro... it's spelled Dick :p

Edited: apparently our northern neighbors are allowed to use a wholesome grain in lieu of the proper past tense of "spell". Consider me chastised.

You guys are hilarious. But just so we can keep it about the koins, here's one of mine from Alexandria Troas showing a horse grazing on spelt accompanied by a shepherd who has stumped his toe on a sacred dyke. I know the surfaces look slightly glutinous, but it's still one of my favorites... :D

    *thread-bump*

=> post your Troas coins (ummm, or perhaps your cool incuse examples) ...

... yup, it's probably gonna be a typical slow Saturday, so I figured that you'd/we'd probably might need a sweet ol' pile-on thread?

Man, I'm way behind on posting new coins! At the moment there are just too many upcoming auctions and coins to sort through. Sooner or later I'll be broke and then can focus on photographing and posting :D

I have no Troas coins but here are a few incuse-ish coins I haven't posted recently. They're more of a relief-on-incuse reverse.
