The breakdown of these 9 matches is shown in Figure 2. Obviously winning all 3 categories would ensure a victory but that occurred in only 18.75% of matches (3 matches). I looked at the data that I had for each match and plotted it in such a way that it can be further analysed. I looked at 3 potential causes for the variance in voter turnout and came up with the following.</p><ol> <li>The number of votes tended to decrease for the matches posted later in the round.</li> <li>The margin of victory (i.e. close match up) seems to have had an effect but not uniformly across all matches. That may be readily explained by voters missing matches as all 16 came available. In all it seems that the threads that generate more discussion and comments are more likely to get more votes (and are just fun threads in general). In short... please feel free to comment, discuss or "bump" the matches as much as you like.
