Hmmm, that does seem a bit beyond their time, eh? ... if I was a betting man, I'd wager that "Bha" must be a letter in their Indo-Skythian alphabet? (but I'm not much of a betting man)
The indo-Scythian alphabet : http://www.omniglot.com/writing/kharosthi.htm (And i can't make a Bah out of it..)
Thanks THCoins => it is pretty difficult to conclusively determine what my coin's squiggle actually represents, but I think I'm correct that it's probably one of those alphabet squiggles, right? (thanks a lot for tracking-down that link ... I appreciate your helpful efforts) ... cheers
Really nice thread - great coins everyone! I haven't taken a foray into this very interesting field of numismatics yet, but I've had my eye on some pieces. They say, "Read the book before you buy the coin," but I could be accused of going overboard with that - if you're a collector, at some point you've got to buy the coin.
Hmmm => buy 'em both!! By the way => my $4.66 book from the UK arrived in the mail today (Roman Coins by CHV Sutherland)
