    I think I found a III that does not have an elongated flan that Im interested but the price is a little much

    Here is my one and only Owl. I really don't know anything about these types (year or style?) as they aren't in my main collecting focus. I'm not bothered by the test cuts or graffiti, rather, I think it adds interest to the coin. I also loved the rainbow iridescence. AthensOwl.jpg

    The eye on this coin is different to me. I'd like to see what someone who specializes in these would have to say about it. Eastern?

    Hi Doug,
    I apologize for a unintentionally misleading post. The receipt that came with the coin said "449-413 BC, possibly from eastern mint." That being said, the seller was uncertain and I have no idea as I don't know how to tell one from another.
    Thanks for your opinion though, I certainly respect your knowledge in these areas.
