    => wow TIF, thanks!!

    :D

    ... yah, I know that we were both talking the other day about scoring a sweet Gordian III example, but at the time I was merely only half-serious ...

    => but when I saw my sweet OP-coin, my trigger-finger started dancing!!

    Oh, and I must admit that I was a bit rattled that I hadn't heard any coin-comments regarding my new score (one way or another) .... so I smiled ear-to-ear just a second ago when I read your recent post (thanks)

    :rolleyes:

    yah, I can't wait to see your next coin-thread (your coins and your clever posts always impress!!)

    => Cheers, coin-Princess

    Funny, because if you grew-up in Canada, Gordie Howe was kinda like Pele in Brazil => he was The King!! (actually, I am the same age as Wayne Gretzky, so I had another King when I was growing up .... ummm, you may want to google Wayne Gretzky as well ... I doubt anybody will surpass The Great One?!)

    Oh, and I hope that you're having a sweet Saturday, my coin-friend!!

    Cheers

    Being a Red Wings fan, there will never be anyone better than Gordie Howe. Well, never is a long time, but you know what I mean.

    I have this sestertius of Gordian III, which is one of my prized possessions - it's very satisfying to hold because of its size, but it also has lovely color and detail.

    We often wonder how the ancients managed the tiny fractional silvers in commerce, but these are equally intriguing. Would you have put a hundred of them in your goat bladder bag to buy something worth an aureus at market? I'm guessing not - probably they were "small" change, in the same way US silver dollars were "small" change.

    I totally hear ya, Bing ... Howe was "all that"

    Oh, and that's usually what people "older" than Gretzky say ... I'm just sayin'

    They're both awesome (and they both have such strengths in different areas) ... yah, I'm pretty sure that Gretzky would skate circles around Gordie and then win the skills-competition ... but then Gordie would also score a couple and then ride Gretzky into the boards and beat the tar outta him!!

    ;)

    ... wow JA, that's an awesome coin!!
