Congratulations. My son who is 44 just had his first last year and my only grand child. He'll be older than I am now when his son graduates college.
I would like to have grandkids but would like to skip the kids. Most available men in my age range already have children (and grandchildren), so that works out well
LOL, after my 6 Girls, TIF, I more than agree. They are great now that they are in their late 20's and early 30's (well... sometimes), but the Grandkids are the best. You can just ignore the Kids.
I meant nerd because he's only fifteen years old and he's so interested in the puzzling ancient coins realm. No fun and no hinting to any other thing. LOL.
30 years old here. I've only been in the ancient coins bandwagon for a few months. I still have more fountain pens (my first hobby) than ancient coins.
70 and my only grandchild, 14, is a disappointment. He has no interest in coins. He is, however, very proud of his nerd status, owns way too many nerd T-shirts and hope to be selected to go to a local high school that does not have a football team. I'm fine with the football part but really would like to have someone who wanted all these coins.
I suspect there are more younger people out there than we realize who are collecting. They just arent here. Heck, I only found this site late last year and I have been on the net since its inception. But, younger people are more interested in Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and useless crap like that. Also, Forvm is a very popular place (though I like this far better). BTW, I am just 47!
NICE on the Mont Blancs! I could NEVER carry quality pens. With all the traveling I do, I would leave hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of pens everywhere. That stated, I have accumulated HUNDREDS (maybe thousands) of cheap pens from hotels and other places worldwide that I use everyday. LOL, does that count as a collection, or a corruption?
