Hm. That sounds like something I'd say if I was pulling a leg or two, but just in case you're not, congratulations on the liver and all the best.
67 Bing and I are both '49ers, coming from the first half of the last century, and the cars I drive are even older than that.
I am also 52. There seem to be quite a few of us around this age. I am happy to make it to each new year and hope to enjoy many more. John
=> my liver has been lying about it's age for decades!! Oh, but congrats on being cancer-free ... I am also a survivor ... not liver though (I merely had lymph-node, Hodgkin's disease)
I didn't mean to sidetrack or hijack this thread. that line has become my standard answer when someone asks my age. It often allows me to start a "pro organ doner" conversation. If only one life is saver it is worth it....
Out of the 50 'votes' (so far) 8 'votes' are below 30y.o. That is great to see the younger ones buying into this. I came to 'ancients' once I had 'retired', so I am pleased to see an interest from the 'younger' ones. (They can wait longer to get the coin they're after.) Lol.
Turned 34 last month. Started collecting ancients and medieval when I was 18 (coins in general when I was 17), but had a long hiatus recently. So glad to be able to get back into it (and that the Internet has created the opportunity to chat with people about it - my wife doesn't care, and my students suffer through it...)
Bing. Us 49'rs have to stick together. Great Car - but no roof? What about us folically challenged types? I kept the roof on mine.
