The Baltimore show yesterday wore me out (partly due to the 3 hour ride each way on the club charter bus). The only coin I have photographed of the 13 that followed me home is a type I have wanted for at least 20 years but is is not the #1 want of its series (there is one half its size I really want) and is such a terrible specimen. I look forward to replacing it someday. acsearch shows a few better ones; Svoronos actually shows a couple that are worse. We all have to ask whether we should buy a 'space filler' or just do without.

Rather than ID this right now, I'll post it as an ID challenge for those who think they are skilled in such things. The coin is 5mm at its widest point and weighs 0.15g. It came with a very old and properly IDed envelope from an equally old group of coins suggesting it was part of a collection for several decades. Considering the number of coins I bought at the show, it seems like one that anyone with any sense would leave behind but you know me better than that.

I really enjoyed the Baltimore show. Two people read the name tag and greeted me as having enjoyed my website. A dealer I had not seen for ten years greeted me and remembered what I collected back then (I collect everything now). At least some of the other coins will get photographed and posted over the next few days. One was even selected for this group's preferences (a female portrait animal coin).
