Yup, I live in Northern Manitoba ... ... but not in Churchill (there isn't a whole lotta mining in Churchill ... just Polar Bears and Beluga Whales ... those are Manitoba's other natural resources)
... you're right I grew-up and lived in Victoria BC (aka, kinda like growing-up in Seattle, Wash) for 28 years before moving to Northern Manitoba ... so yah, the harsh winters were a bit of an eye-opener ... but now, after 22 years I kinda love the climate (funny, eh?)
