Yes indeed, it is Ostia . This was brought to my attention at some point but I couldn't edit the original post. I should have added a note or had the moderator help me with an edit.

Then again, had the correction been made, we wouldn't have enjoyed this punny correction today :D

This was well deserving of its Featured status.

I've been revisiting some "TIF's Greatest Hits" this morning.

(Insert amusing Photoshop spoof of 1970s album cover art below)

I am just quietly going to stick my 50 buck Mussidius, Shrine of Venus Cloacina on TIF's fantastic thread, my Cloacina only worthy of the back end of the thread with it's honest wear. Can't compare with TIF's absolutely beautiful specimens. IMG20180403151916.jpg IMG20180403151855.jpg

It may be worn but I've never seen one on such a large flan!

Though it looks like it was fished (or flushed) out of the Cloaca Maxima, it wasn't (at least I hope that it wasn't!:yuck:) I am very proud of this little mess:cool: I have been trying to get one of these ever since I stumbled across this thread and just lost out on one on ebay a week ago. I just won this lil fart (get it?? cause it's a fouree;)) from this last weekends auctions...

I’ve also wanted an example since this thread and I’m still looking. I was the underbidder on this one yesterday and I’m pretty sad that I missed out.

:(! What a great reverse! I’m sorry you missed that. Maybe it went to someone else in the CT family.
