Keying you collecting off of me could get you committed in several states. When dealing with mints that have a very large number of shops, I find it cool to have an example of the large numbers. In this game, 15 is the large number and one I like. Of course, I also like shop 9 for reasons I have explained often before. You will not make money listening to me. You might be forced to learn something and that is why I collect these things.
I've been keying my collecting off of you, Doug, since I joined this forum, and I've done nothing but lose money. I'll give my wife your number so that you get the scolding you deserve.
Gawd, my wife hates "Bing" ... because your name has always come-up during all of my ancient-coin-antics ... => yup, I'm sorry my awesome friend, but you seem to take the lion's share of the coin-flak!!! (I owe ya one, big brother) Cheers
=> You are a legend (ehhh, eventhough you're the Legend of Evil Bing, you're still a legend!!) I love ya ... keep-up the good work, my awesome friend
funny post. I laughed at your devotion bathroom pic and candle. I must get some coins printed and put them in my bathroom. great idea. and for the living room a coin picture shrine. lol
Side note; The sewer goddess was mentioned in the movie " Gladiator". But now I know Wait, wait " the rest of the story". No, no don't clap, just throw money. And yes I accept old Roman toilet money. But on a serious note, that WAS a very good write-up and beautiful coins.

One of the funniest but most informative threads in a while. I don't have any of these but now I want one. John
I loved seeing this thread resurrected...It's so perfect in every way!!! EDIT: BTW WONDERFUL coins @Alegandron and @Okidoki ...as if TIF didn't have me jealous enough!!!
Upon revisiting this informative and hilarious thread, it struck me that I had seen this actual public latrine in person... in Ostia, not in Ephesus. Compare my own picture from Ostia taken late last year: Clearly the same latrine, albeit from a different angle. I felt compelled to flush out this incorrect attribution. It's not something that a person wants to hold inside himself/herself.
