Head of Kore Soteira left, hair in sphendone covered with a veil, wearing wreath of grain ears and single-pendant earring; ΣΩTEIPA above / Head of lion left; below, tunny left; KY-ZI around, [astragalos to right]. Pixodarus Type 2, Group D; SNG France 407; SNG von Aulock 1219 and 7345; Stack’s, 24 August 1976, lot 1572 (same dies). VF, toned, rough surfaces. From the Roger Liles Collection.

Well I kinda like the style of Kore better for my part, more "realistic" compared with the "artistic" rendition of the lion

Don't know who's the guy but he collected coins from Kyzikos apparently, several of his ex's were in this auction.
oh, ok. i didn't know if he was someone important in ancient collecting or something. well, now it's in the "dionysos collection". i wish it was in the chrsmat71 collection.
Better than mine from today. I got skunked. I really liked one piece, and it ended up going for seven times estimate. Sometimes I wish there were a lot fewer buyers of ancients.......
