Haven't received mine yet, but I haven't mailed one either...it's still sitting in a package waiting to be posted....by tomorrow or Wednesday. Hmmm, I wonder if more than a month is time enough for the USPS to delivery before the 25th of December???
Nothing till today in the mail, appart from another one I bought : need to picture it and dysplay though...later today (what a teasing, uh...) I mailed my Secret Santa a week ago but again, a pony is quite slow at swimming such a long distance from France to North America (I won't tell more, it would be too easy guessing) Q
I have one person in need of a partner at this point. If anyone else would like to sign up that would be great. Deadline is Nov. 30.
...Breaking news.....Breaking news.....Breaking news.....Breaking news..... Santa delivered two hours ago at work. From the return address on the package he (she) seems to live in quite a northern area, where snow and elks are, which is what one would expect for an actual Santa Claus. I'm very excited to see what's inside, but waiting is part of the game, isn't it ? Georges Clemenceau used to say : Le meilleur moment de l'amour, c'est quand on monte l'escalier Q
Last time I looked it was November 24. The name "Secret Santa" suggests delivering presents in time for December 25, more than a month away. I have my gift ready to go, but I will not mail it for quite some time. I think it is too early to be sending and getting Secret Santa gifts.
More than agreed! I am waiting for Xmas / Saturnalia before I open. But, I will be happy with ANY present. My druthers is for the individual NOT spend or sacrifice a lot for a gift. It is but the thought of a gift that is the spirit of the Holidays... Kindest to All.
You're both right, but I've experienced before letters needing three or four weeks from Europe to North America (either way) to reach destination, hence me sending very early. Q
I agree with shipping time and ensuring the recipient recieves before the Holidays. Rather, my comment points toward those posts expecting expensive or rare gifts; that is NOT the Spirit of Giving.
Agreed. I only extended the deadline a bit because I needed one more participant, but the 29th is ok if anyone else wants to PM me.
Hold out as long as you can be strong,we have a long way to go till Christmas. i'm not shipping anything till the end of the first week of December! should only take a week to get to my peep!
Sing this to the music for "Oh where oh where can my baby be". Oh where, oh where, could my Secret Santa be, JA picked him out for me, he's gone shopping, so I've got to be good, so I can see my coin before I get to be all blue. This could top the charts of the Numismatics Top 100 songs.
The thing I'm looking forward to is my recipient's reaction. Hopefully the gift finds a good home with a happy receiver.
=> thank God you're not a planner at my minesite ... dude, it is far better to receive your goods ahead of time, than to miss the deadline (oh, and I'm also fine if my giftee opens it early) ... again, your strategy stresses me out (get the capital equipment on site beforehand, so we can make a plan!!) cheers ... obviously just jokes, right? (sadly, sometimes my jokes aren't taken in-stride) Honestly, I really don't care if and when my gift arrives (some lucky soul will receive the coin, even if it gets scoffed, or gets lost ... it's merely just another step in my awesome ancient coin's life) Godspeed, lil' buddy!!
