I, too, thank John for running the Secret Santa event. Judging from the numerous happy posts, it was a great success.

It's funny that ancient collectors seem to be pretty young while modern collectors seem to be pretty ancient. Maybe they're just trying to remember their childhood coinage. Who knows. Anyway, just wanted to show off the cool gift that Santa Eng sent to my son. image.jpg

I had to leave town on very short notice and didn't have a chance until today to open mine! Thank you so much Secret Santa!!!

Pictures are not very good, sorry. Don't worry, you'll all see them again very soon! (My amazing wife bought me a camera so I need to start learning how to use it)

All of the coins are super cool - there's a Byzantine (I think), a medieval Spanish, Valens, and Constantius.

I couldn't be happier with these!

I need to offer apologies to my secret santa. My wife came home from the post office today and informed me that "one of my christmas cards was destroyed in the mail". apparently only the return address and the rear of the red envelope were returned to me with the "sorry we screwed up" notice. I will choose another coin from my collection this week and get it in the mail.........
