I stopped collecting Ancients back in the mid eighties and re discovered them a couple of weeks ago and thought I would share what I have. Will post more as time allows.

Welcome, and welcome back to ancients! We have at least one serious collector of the Roman ladies here, and the rest of us will probably have at least a few, so you're in good company :). That Crispina is nice!

Here are two coins I have of a lady who is the daughter of the first and mother the second that you've shown.

Welcome---your 'story' is similar to mine...I just returned to collecting this past November....

Most of us have more than a few 'ladies'---mine primarily denarii and several sestertius that I'm in the beginning process of photographing with the camera i received yesterday.

Anyway, love your posts and especially Crispina---a few of my ladies (file photos from seller): Crispina, Julia Maesa, O Severa and Plautilla... crispina.jpg j maesa obvers.jpg j maesa reverse.jpg o servera obverse.jpg o servera reverse.jpg plautilla.jpg

Thanks guys some really nice stuff posted. Most of my coins were bought from mail auctions with just a description to go by. Would take up to six weeks to have coins in hand. Still have some of the old catalogs from fixed price outlets.

I thought I might as well add a few more while I'm waiting for a truck delivery of 'dirt' for my front yard---yeah, re-seeding again!! And I'm having numerous trees removed and trimmed tomorrow---this stuff never ends!!!

Gil-galad nice gallery. Noticed you had a Chinese folder also, I have some very early coinage from China: Emperor Pan-Liang (175-119 BC), Wang-Mang (7-22 AD), Ruler Huo-Chuan under emp. Wang-Mang, and Commander Lili (1414-1428). Have some Chinese knife coins pre 255 BC.

Well I am humbled Q. That Fausta is something else, have not seen that reverse before either. I think instead of buying more I will just enjoy what every body else has. Glimpses of history at her best, I thank you all.
