Wanna see collect89’s entire Greek coin collection? My Greek coin collection is small & ALL can be shared in this one post. (Don't blink or you might miss it). :D The total is currently a whopping eight coins. That number would only double if my monstrous Roman coin collection was added to the mixture. Here is the colossal collection depicted on one 3-ring binder page. This 3-ring 20-pocket page is archival quality. The page is transparent but it is not very flexible. I kind-of like having the coin displayed alone & the insert displayed separately. This configuration is working fine because of the small number of coins. #1 Each coin is in an archival quality flip. The observer can view both sides of each coin on the page by just turning the page. :thumb: #2 Each label is also in a flip. The reverse of each label includes printed contact data & a hand written code describing the date & price paid. When the label text is longer than 2" it just gets folded so that the balance of the text can be read from the other side. Also, the original paperwork that came with each coin can be stored in the label flip. :thumb: Of course, there is a down side to this system. The coins could easily be separated from their information and the coins can move around inside their flips. With such a small collection, these are not currently important issues. It would be nice to have many Greek coins so that it would become troublesome to use this adopted storage system. Maybe some day.... The individual coins and label descriptions follow.
