The site of Masada was one of the most important archeological sites in Israel for numismatist.&nbsp; It was here that a good number of silver coins from the Jewish revolt were uncovered in great condition after the site was rediscovered in the mid 20th century.&nbsp; These were the first silver Jewish coins and were minted during the revolt to pay the Temple tax after the Jews lost access to the Tyrian shekels accepted previously.&nbsp; Lots of these were overstruck on other types.</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]619224[/ATTACH]</p><p>AR Shekel...
