Sweet, a fellow pipe smoker. If you search early in the history of this thread you can see a pic of me smoking some natural Virginia tobacco in my meerschaum pipe.
Yep, it's very relaxing after a long day. Might as well repost the pic. I thought I had posted it in this thread, but I could not find it. Excuse the crooked tie
Pipes are too much of a pain. I'd post my new arrival today, but that'll have to wait until life is a little less crazy...
I enjoy a good cigar too. Trouble is, finding the right time to enjoy it. The women in this abode can't stand the stogies. Gotta sneak out to enjoy one. Pipe smoke they seem to tolerate.
Another time, another place. But where would we be without them? Like my late grandfather mentioned back years ago.......women, you can't live with them and you can't live without them.
Awesome cigar. I am a huge fan of Montecristos, Cohiba, and Romeo y Julieta. Nothing but the finest Cubans for this former Cuban. When I smoke non-Cubans, it's usually Perdomo Lot 23 (I know the owner of Perdomo Cigars, good man), JL Salazar Maduro Series (I've met the owner of JL Salazar Cigar Co), Medina 1959 Edition (Yep, the owner and I smoke cigars together 2-3 times a week and have a cup of Cuban coffee while we talk politics), or La Aurora 1495 Series (no, I'm not friends with the owner of La Aurora ). I actually know personally the owners of most of the major cigar brands you find in the US. I've even had one or two as clients. It's not hard to actually meet them as most of them are based in Miami, and I'm a huge cigar buff, so I've gone out of my way to make friends with a bunch of them.
Anyone tell you you look like Martin Mull? Lol! My uncle smoked cherry in his pipe. Good memories. Not for me. I do love a good cigar, but my wife hates the smell so much I have it up. Also gave up bourbon. She can smell it 10 miles away and a week after!

It was probably good that you brought this thread up again. So many new members here these days. Maybe they might like to see our ugly mugs (thinking of @Sallent) or post the images of their lovely selves.
Neat to see you all. Great group of folks here. Here's a pic of me a few years back, and one of my favorite ancient coins. Of all the images of members, do any look like you might imagine one would? I had a completely different image for you @old49er.
I've been more surprised by some than others, especially by those that seem to look around my age or younger.
Whoa-whoa-whoa, wait a minute ... Jango, are you Doug's long-lost son!! (heir to the dougsmit coin-collection?)
