Talking of Eudoxia, I've had a coin of her's, not fully attributed for ages as the exergue was off flan for the most part. By chance, a fellow member on a french forum saw another example with a different centering that she spotted immediately as being struck with the same dies (you know the story : "hmmmm, I've seen that before !" and you go checking for half an afternoon wondering where you've seen that before...lol). So here it is for you, ladies and gentlemen : Eudoxia, AE4 Antioch mint, third officina [A]EL EVDOXIA AVG, diademed and draped bust right, above, hand holding wreath SALVS REIPVBLICAE, Victory seated right, inscribing christogram on shield. [ANT Gamma] at exergue 2.35 gr Ref : Roman coins # 4241 Based on the observation of another example minted with the same dies and with a visible exergue on reverse, the Antioch's third officina provenance of this coin is now certain. Thanks to Myriam at Nummus Bible II forum for her perspicacity and for providing me with the information Happy Q !
