There are several minor variations of pose and I am not 100% certain how accurately the oldest marble copies the original. Cleveland claims to have a part of the original but I do not know if they have it on exhibit or why they believe their piece is old. Note that three of my coins appear to show the young Apollo with dart in hand drawing back to throw at what could be a smake or a lizard while two (first and last) show the hand creeping forward to grab the lizard. The reason I love the Geta is the clearly defined lizard and the closeness to the pose shown in the Louvre marble. The obvious question is whether there were two original statues (dart and grab) of when the second form was added.
