Justin Lee I learn by doing

I've gotten a lot of coins from the Reverend Willis McGill Collection (McGill was an American missionary stationed in Egypt, who started collecting there during World War I) with his old handwritten envelopes:

This yellow envelope came with this countermarked coin, but I question how old it is (online navigation directions on flap):

I got this envelope with this Daia (though it seems to have been used for another coin or it was misattributed originally?) :

And my 1st ancient came with this folded German (?) paper, and it's indented curcularly as if the coin had been stored within, complete with its label handwritten:

The folded "german" paper is an invitation to the anniversary of an insurance company in Graz, Austria in 1948.

There is an old CT thread where we each showed ours. I bought mine on eBay from a family member of the original recipient because I wanted the coin but was slow to appreciate the importance of the certificates. Obviously those papers are more interesting than most of the coins were.
