I updated my web site which lists web sites of ancient-coin dealers and auction firms. http://augustuscoins.com/ed/dealers.html I removed the broken links and rearranged some links. If you have a lot of time to spend/waste looking for ancient coins to buy, this is a better list of links than you can get from google. I have attempted to exclude dealers who sell fakes and include dealers and collectors, even small ones, who are actually currently selling ancient coins, not including eBay dealers.
Fantastic list! One site I didn't see was bidinside.com-- a lot of overlap sixbid/numisbids/deamoneta but with a slightly different group of auctions.
Superb list. Thanks for posting it. I didn't see Civitas Galleries listed: http://www.civitasgalleries.com/cgi/store/commerce.cgi?cart_id=8386832.15951 Although they are on Vcoins, purchasing via their webshop is slightly cheaper.
Thanks for the list - I'd forgotten about some of these and some had never seen. A few I have used I didn't notice: CGB - http://www.cgb.fr - shop plus weekly e-auctions (no buyers fees, start at €1) and larger auctions. Maybe on the expensive side, but they do produce lots of catalogues and keep everything they've sold online. Roma Numismatics - http://www.romanumismatics.com - regular auctions Jean Elsen - http://www.elsen.eu/ - fixed-price lists and auctions ATB, Aidan.
@akeady, thanks for your suggestions. I didn't know about Elsen's "weekly e-auctions" and I thought of the others as major auction firms listed on the consolidator sites. But, checking their web pages, I see they do have fixed-price pages too, so they have been added.
