I know a lot of these coins I bought this year are not everyone's cup of tea, so hope not to bore you to much. A couple of my architecture coins are a bit worn, but par for the course as hard if not impossible to acquire in better condition. I tend not to buy too many coins as I like to keep my powder dry for "that big one". Anyway I was still happy with my pick ups this year. No particular order as I like them all equally but am still interested in what my
    fellow coiners like the most.

    C MINUCIUS AUGURINUS AR DENARIUS 135 BC, 19MM, 3.86G, CRAWFORD 242/1
I have always liked the artistic reverse on this coin. And the column a noted piece of
Rome architecture, also 135 BC the time the Denarius got re-valued.

CONSTATINE I. LONDON 324/5 AD. AE FOLIS, 19.5MM, 3.2GM, RIC VII 294. RARE.
Bought this one because I wanted a souvineer coin minted in London, whilst on holiday
there. And my first camp gate of this type.
    3. 91603_1486671056.jpg
CILICIA, MOPSOUESTIA-MOPSUS. VALERIAN 255/6 AD. RIVER GOD PYRAMUS, RECLINING
ON BRIDGE, TRIUMPHAL ARCH AT EACH END. 14.43GM, 31MM, SNG BN 1998. RARE.
Not many bridge coins around so an important aquisition to my architecture collection.

EPHESOS, IONIA. ANTONINUS PIUS. THREE TEMPLES ARTEMIS CENTRE, CORNER
VIEW OF TWO OTHERS BOTH SIDES. 19GM, 35.6MM, BMC 78, 235. RARE.
This coin although worn is hardley ever seen a must for my collection.

SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS. THRACE. ANCHIALUS. CITY WALL, TOWERS WITH WINDOWS AND
TWO BLOCKS ALONG TOP OF WALL. 27.05MM, 13.08GM, MOUSMMOV 2810.
This and and the one below probably belong to the same structure, just different views.
    6. DGz3f9sTKWp62qNSok5GHdN724cJYK (1).jpg
SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS. THRACE ANCHIALUS. CITY GATE FLANKED BY TWO TOWERS, THREE ARCHES ALONG TOP OF WALL. 9.73GM, 26MM, AMNG 485; VARBANOV 199.
    7. 20170401_060542.jpg 20170401_055213.jpg
MACRIANUS. BITHYNIA, NICAEA. 260/1 AD. THE CITY WALLS OF NICAEA FROM AN ARIAL PERSPECTIVE. AE 25MM, 7.2GM. R.G. 867 AND PLATE 88. RARE.
I have always thought this type is cool the way that are trying to project a view to any would be enemies how safe the city is behind these fortified wall. (It didn't work)
    8. 199999.l.jpg
MYSIA. PARIUM GALLIENUS. TRIUMPHAL ARCH, STATUES STANDING ON COLUMNS BOTH
SIDES ELEPHANT HEADS/QUADRIGA. 26MM, 9.11GM. PRICE AND TRELL FIG. 213.
Never been really impressed by the more common type of this coin but although a bit worn
this one is more pleasing to the eyes, and a lot more rare.

Those coins are almost as good as the cup of Yorkshire tea I'm drinking now. ;)

All kidding aside, I can see why these are your stand outs for 2017. Well done!

I think all your coins there are interesting. I don't know why you'd think we wouldn't be interested. The RR denarius and the Severan provincials are definitely my favorite.

Thanks Bing, I thought you might like them as you have a couple of similar.

Thanks David, It was easy to pick them as I only bought eleven coins this year.

Thanks Sallent, I was secretly hoping that I was wrong and most would like. Just a word on the Severan Anchialus City wall coins, the one with no door was probably the wall overlooking the sea.

Thanks, I thought I should put one in that wasn't an actual building, to sort of break it up a bit.

I like the first Septimius Severus and the Postumus with the galley.

Thanks, I agree the first Septimius is probably a bit stronger in detail than the one below it.....but you know what let's it down..... it hasn't got a door. How are you supposed to get in.

Well, you get a ladder, and then you pull it up the wall, and then all those nasty barbarians can't get at you. :)

I think it was the patina I liked on that one, though they're both pretty nice. 'Twas the galley on the Postumus I liked. I've got an Allectus with galley on my radar, but it might not happen for a while yet, if at all.

The galley type of Allectus seem to be pretty expensive compared to my type
    (50 Euro)

#3 is my favorite. I love river gods, but have never seen one reclining on a bridge before. I looked up an example with more detail on the reverse because I was curious what was written in the bridge spans. It says ΔΩΡΕΑ.
    Very, very interesting

Thanks, ΔΩΡΕΑ means GIFT in Greek, implying Rome funded the building of the bridge.

Although it's not a collecting focus for me, I always love to see your architectural types and I learn a lot from your posts. Of this year's haul, I really like 5 & 6 (no surprise, everyone loves those!), but #7 maybe even more; I agree that aerial perspective is way cool! And the reverse on #1 is absolutely spectacular!!
