    Dear All,

As I am a new member I am posting here my first topic, I am quite busy to build-up a collection of Armenian Greek coins, I am amazed how many different coins there are especially from Tigranes II the Great.
This my collection until now, I only have copper coins, the Silver is still too expensive for me, anybody out there also collecting these.
In general I am collecting coins from the Near East, also for example of Commagene.

I wish you all a very good day.

Welcome Gilbert. That's an impressive collection! We don't see too many ancient Armenian coins on the board, so these are a welcome sight.

I have just one Armenian coin, this small Tigranes II bronze.

Wow, that is a nice collection you've got there (I'm hoping to see a few close-ups of those beauties) ... I see a couple of sweet elephant reverses! (cool)

I haven't collected any Artaxiad coinage yet, although I'd like to - they just don't seem to come around very often at affordable prices.

I recommend Paul Bedoukian's Coinage of the Artaxiads of Armenia. 40 pages of history and analysis, a catalog of 167 types, and 8 plates of well-imaged coins...

In fact No. How old does it look for you? Could you identify the coin as well ?
