There are 23 different varieties for 1832, and yours looks like it may be O.110. Is the "URI" in Pluribus weak or is the flash washing it out?
Oh and nice idea for a set. I started a 1940 PDS mint set for my dad's birthyear a couple of years ago. When I am finished with that I'll start on my mom's.

Well, I finally found an interesting 1865 Seated Liberty Half Dollar for my Great Grandfather's birth year. He was born in April just after the end of the Civil War.

my 13th-great-grandfather was born in 1515 in kaldenkirchen, jülich-berg, germany. i have never seen a 1515 jülich-berg coin, but this one is from 1512 jülich-berg... is it close enough to count?

    Close enough for me. :)

If you wanted the exact date, I have seen 1515 dated Hungarian issues. Wrong country, I know, but correct date.

updated from dec: got the 2.5 dollar gold piece for my birth year type set (1892) took me awhile to find one. (low mintage, 2400.) bought it raw and sent it off to anacs for grading. hope it comes back at least ms60. now i have the entire set including the 1892 columbia half.

I love this idea and have been wanting to do something similar with the birth years of my grandfathers. I can trace my patriarchal lineage Back 10 generations to a birth in 1738 in north Carolina. I'd like the coins to all be the same denomination, so copper is probably the only way to go. Is it possible to find colonial coins from that far back?

Now to work on some of my other ancestors from my "Family Tree Maker" computer program. ;)

When you talk about genealogy, I have one line back to 1166 in Cornwall, England, and goes back to France, before that time , but have not been able to prove yet. As for coins, I have a few in the 1810-1841, most of others are from the 1850 to 2014.
