I was watching ANACS' new "Coin of the Month" promotion with interest and increasing bemusement. It seemed like a reasonable idea at first -- each month, a special deal for a particular type of coin; Morgans in March, Buffalo nickels in April, Walking Liberty halves and ASEs in May. But then, in June, they did ASEs, which were part of the May special. That seemed goofy; it seems like any pent-up ASE demand would've been satisfied during May, and I can't imagine that they got much additional business out of the June promotion. (Actually, Morgan March may have been the same, coming off the Dollars and Cents promotion that ran through January and February). In any event, we're now two days into July, and while I've gotten reminders about the grade-two-free deal and their coin show schedule, I haven't heard a peep about a July Coin of the Month. I wonder if they've given up?
