I will cross anacs coins mostly because I hate the slabs and the market prefers pcgs or NGC recent Cracked out 2 gold coins in anacs slabs one au-53 the other au-58 I cracked them out and sent them raw both graded exactly the same at pcgs
I did like the old small ANACS slabs , they were the perfect size and look . The blue ones were ok , but man I hate that yellow color .
Not only do I hate that bile yellow I hate the tapered top so you can't stack them and they get little respect in the resale market. But I buy the coin not the slab so I'll buy a nice coin in any slab or none at all slabs are easy to change just costs a couple bucks
I have a few coins I bought in the yellow slabs , nice coins for less just because of the plastic it's in .
I don't like ngc's policy regarding full step denotation of 5 or 6 fs. Pcgs considers any jefferson with at least 5 as simply full steps which I prefer. So crossover is an upgrade of sorts.
I forgot to post results. Here you go. Crossover to PCGS 38-D Jefferson crossed at MS 67 FS 44-D Jefferson did not cross 1914 ms62 icg did not cross! This one is strong 62! Maybe icg holder scratched and too difficult to cross. I'll try this one again. Maybe crack out 1909-s vdb crossed at MS 65 Red wow! Segs to Pcgs 72/72 did not cross
Can you send in crossovers in one submission, but different forms if you are also sending in raw? I have never submitted, but my dealer does for me. I have only sent in raw. Was wondering what the burden would be on him if I ask him to send in some crossovers along with his raw submissions. He doesn't do crossovers, so I would need to piggyback on a submission somehow.
Its a seperate submission. You can mail them in with raw coins but you have to fill out a seperate submission form. They will most likely mail them back seperately scosting you an extra return shipping fee.
