It will also allow ANA to offer more subjects and to bring in some big names to teach these short courses. (It's a lot easier to get someone for two days than it is to get them for a week - especially when the person is very, very busy.)
By the 1st of February ANA should release the course schedule for this year's Summer Seminar. Some changes are coming. I'm not sure if I am at liberty to divulge some of the details just yet but I can tell you this much: At Summer Seminar full courses (4 1/2 days) are offered as well as mini-seminars in the evenings. Beginning this year several two-day courses will be offered. This will allow students more diversity in the courses they take by allowing them to take two courses in one session. It will also allow ANA to offer more subjects and to bring in some big names to teach these short courses. (It's a lot easier to get someone for two days than it is to get them for a week - especially when the person is very, very busy.) That's all I can tell you at the moment. Any thoughts on this change? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Would it make you any more likely to attend Summer Seminar? Less likely? I am looking forward to the short courses. I wasn't sure what courses I wanted to take this summer but I know of one short course that I am definitely going to attend. (If you know me you should be able to guess the topic.) I will add more details as I can.
