ANA Convention Memorabilia

Thank you guys for all the great information. I was just curious to see if there was something standard that had been available since 1891 at every convention that would be worth pursuing. I have several coins sets, but since those aren't standard, I won't go looking for them. Thanks for all the great information.

There is a well-known silver art bar from 1973 commemorating the 82nd convention in Boston (Kidd # JR-3) - I'm unaware of any others, although there may be other years.



EDIT: Madison Mint produced A.N.A. convention art bars from 1974-1977
(Kidd # MAD-117,118,156,171), in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta.

 

I have over 100 items I have picked up from attending and volunteering ANA conventions since 1998. Hard to keep track of, I normally will pick up the official medals as well as the many local issues that pop up. I was chairman for one, and asst.chair for two others. The best thing for me has been meeting so many people in our hobby, and being of service to our community. I have been truly lucky to be a part of such a fantastic community of collectors.

The most recent medal from the Chicago Worlds Fair of Money, was an amazing oval bronzed proof from the Chicago Coin Club. Sorry to say, I don't have an image of it I have been busy working on my other numismatic material. Some great artwork. So many coins, so little time. Cheers to all and Happy New Year.

I have attached an image of the ANA Centennial medal, I hope you all enjoy it. By the way in case you don't know, the ANA motto and logo is that of the University of Michigan. De Profundis means "out of the depths" the light will shine.
