I'm investing in the RAD stock right now at about 10 bucks a week since it is at about $1.50 a share. All I need is one peak like Jan 1999 when it hit $49.99 a share and my 27 shares I get a month for $40 bucks will be worth over $1000.00 for each month I invested. But to be honest I would probably sell in the $20's-$30's in the future just to make sure I got my killing
elaine: since you order such huge quantities maybe you should request for an extension or better price break.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110424760860&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Quick thoughts? Worth the price? I am hearing mixed albeit the fact a very respected member on CT suggested it to me.
Don't know that much about silver eagles, but I do know that there is 100% nothing special about an MS69 on these. Worth just about the same as if the coin was raw and if you tried to sell to a dealer they would treat them as a raw coin and pay you greysheet bid... around $16 per coin except for the 1996 which is around $40 or so... accordingly, to me the set is worth around $350... $400 tops! If you want to invest in silver there are better ways such as buying 90% junk silver near spot and buying decent brand bars like you already have done. But if you really like these coins, then cool... but don't expect to get rich on these at this price.
Ok, I'll let that one pass..Next! PS: My collection is starting to look PRETTY juicy so far. 1885 cc ms63 pcgs morgan $617 1928 ms62 pcgs peace $575 1921-d ngc vf30 mercury $340 1937-d 3 legged buffalo nickel xf45 $1015 100 oz silver $1480+ shipping 09 lincoln commemorative $74.99 and a gold krugeran given to me by my dad. 2009 uhr gold double eagle $1293 wish list: 1908 no motto st gaudens you enter it here(open to suggestions)
By the way, just wanted everyone to know that I saw the MS63 1885 CC $1 and the MS62 1928 Peace $1 in hand today at the Arcadia show and they both looked like great buys. The 1928 $1 had the look of an MS63+ with relatively few contact marks and good eye appeal... just had a little bit of muted luster on the obverse and just enough marks to probably make it an MS62... but it wouldn't look out of place in a 63 holder. and based on the prices we saw at the show today on these (and for much uglier coins), he got a good deal on his. The CC $1 is accurately graded as Liberty's cheek is baggy enough to limit it to a 63, but the slight obverse rim toning gives the coin good eye appeal. The reverse of the coin is stunning and looks more like a MS64-65 reverse with tons of luster and very few marks.
Thanks guys for all the advise. This thread's done. Moving onto my new one called, "My first coin collection"
